Coal Briquetting Binder - the Best Partner to Improve Pulverized Coal Molding

As the degree of coalification increases, the plasticity of coal decreases rapidly, and the formability resistance changes. For coal with a high degree of coalification, it is generally necessary to add a viscous agent to increase the plasticity of the coal before it can be formed.


1. Shape characteristics of coal

The forming characteristics of coal is an important internal reason affecting the forming process of coal powder, especially the elasticity and plasticity of coal are more prominent. The plasticity of coal is higher and higher, and the formation of coal dust is more typical.


2. Molding pressure

When the forming force is less than the pressure crushing force, the mechanical strength of the formed coal increases with the increase of the forming pressure. 3. Material moisture content

The presence of an appropriate amount of water can act as a wetting agent, release the internal friction of the forming system, and improve the mechanical strength of the performance coal. If there is too much water, the water layer on the surface of the granules will become thicker, which will affect the sufficient density of the granules, thereby reducing the mechanical strength of the briquettes.


4. Material particle size and particle size composition

(1) The material particles are arranged as closely as possible to improve the mechanical strength of the briquette. Practice has proved that if the power of pulverized coal material is small, it is conducive to the close arrangement of particles;

(2) When the binder molding process is used, if the total gap between the pulverized coal particles is small, the amount of binder can be reduced and the cost of molded coal can be reduced.

Due to the poor formability of most coal types, applications using binder forming processes are more common.
